Great Northern University is pleased to announce that two of the University's faculty members are receiving promotions. The university's Academic Affairs committee has approved the promotion of Dr. Michael Kibbe from "Assistant" to "Associate" Professor of Bible, and the promotion of Dr. Kay Tronsen from "Associate" to "Full" Professor of Communication
The University's faculty handbook defines the following traits of faculty members at Great Northern University: they must be spiritually mature, competent to teach, committed to the local and global church, student-oriented, and collegial. Those seeking promotion must present evidence of exceptional scholarship, partnership with the church, and creative engagement with the mission of the university for the review of the Academic Affairs Committee.
